What is Probiotics?
Probiotics are live microorganisms, typically bacteria, that are believed to provide health benefits when consumed in adequate amounts. These beneficial bacteria are found naturally in the gut (lower gastrointestinal tract) in the form of a complex and diverse community of bacteria. And they are also present in some foods and dietary supplements. The most common types of probiotics are from the Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium genera.
